About Us
The half-step between supo essays and academic journals
It seems a waste that supo essays are submitted minutes before the deadline only to be forgotten after marking. It feels frustrating to be constrained by reading lists and the limitations of tripos. A casual conversation in the dining hall is a thrilling glimpse of other students' work and interests. How can we be letting this go to waste?
In that spirit, enters The Antiquarian: an eclectic collector of rarities from the past. This journal is an opportunity for students of History and Classics to share their interest on any topic and in any format. We want your favourite supo essays, reviews of a great museum exhibition or explorations of a subject in more detail than your degree allows. Sure its hard to get published in That Formal Academic Journal, but The Antiquarian is interested in promoting student writing.
